Hi everyone. I just purchased a 1982 XJ550 Maxim and I found that the rear brake pedal is too short for my comfort. I was hoping that someone could recommend a fix for this. I've thought of a few solutions myself but wanted the opinions of experienced XJ owners. I was wondering if a brake pedal from an XJ650 or XJ750 was longer and would fit my XJ550. Any help in this area will be much appreciated! Thanks all!

Just from the pic it looks like it's adjusted too high, that might be part of the issue. I'm pretty sure my 550 Secas are the same pedals as the Max, I have size 13 feet and no problems but mine are adjusted per the book. You might try that as a temporary solution at least.

How about take the pedal off, lay it next to a tape measure and take a pic?
That way someone with a 650 or 750 can measure theirs and tell you. I would be surprised if there were any difference in the splined end.
