    its like 5 grand or something opening bid.

    totally insane..... do you guys think these will all go to collectors or what? It would be nice to drive a new one out of the crate... not that i have the money.

    They will probably go to collectors.

    Unfortunately, they are all the left-hand shift electric-start models; probably the least desirable of the Commandos. But still, brand new...

    I know a guy who has a brand new '73 Triumph X-75 Hurricane (Triple) in the crate still.

    They went for 14.5 to 17kEUR so fetched more than 25 kUSD each at least...

    Wash you mouth out with soap, to me they are the most desirable, especially with the big tank

    Years ago I was looking for one and couldn't find one in semi decent condition now they are all out of my price range

    Rode a Mk1 750cc Commando a few months back, excellent engine, even the brakes were ok but the suspension was absolute rubbish, but 40 years of being thrashed will do that to you :wink:
