I looked through the haynes book and im not seeing what i need. Ive got a 83 750 midnight maxim. Im assuming that back in the 80"s breake pads might not have had the low pad indicater...dont know. Im doing a breake job and i noticed that the pads do have the indicaters but the left side caliper had the indicater on the outside of the caliper and the right on the opposite side. With that said, i noticed that the wear markings on the pad that had the indicater facing piston had a circular mark on it, but half is on the pad and half is on the metal plate that the indicater is made of. In my mind that makes the piston push uneven. Am i wrong? Can someone tell me the correct orientation Thanks.
