Some of you may remember my neighbor offering his '86 Fazer 700 to me right after I bought my Seca.
My brother did buy the bike. Hadn't really been on the road since '98 or so.

Pete cleaned it up, did all the basics, then took it to our trusty Yamie dealer and picked it up last Saturday. First stop....my house.
Rode our bikes over to show the neighbor, then swapped and I led him on a little ride.

WOW!! what a smooth bike! Seat was a little low for me but other than that, it might be worth offering up some 'free bike storage' to him
All in all, he's into this for under $1400.

Pics forthcoming, as soon as my sister in law remembers to email them.

Paul, Nice pair of bikes! The Fazer was one of Yamaha's sleepers that I really wish had taken off here. They still carry the badge on 125cc Yammys down in Brazil but they are nothing like the US versions.
Q: You two are all suited up for a safe ride, where are the gloves?

Under the seats Robert. We didn't wear them over to the neighbor's house, but put them on before the real ride.

That Fazer's a very nice bike! I'm hoping I'll eventually have one in my garage to park next to the X. One day...

Paul, be careful storing things "under the seat" on your Seca. Take a sec and pull the side cover off the airbox and take a good look at exactly WHERE the intake air is coming from. When I got my '81 it at first seemed like the choke was always "on." Turns out the PO was in the habit of keeping a rolled up shop rag under the seat, guess what it was blocking?

actually Brian, I keep them in the rear fender, not really 'under' the seat.
    couple spare bungees there too.
