    Going crosseyed reading and researching...
I've wound 1 complete revolution on the butterfly shaft return spring. Butterfly snaps back fast and hard. Is that the proper winding?
Whilst doing a complete teardown I found 2 errors in the carbs, leading me to believe the person who did the last teardown may have committed other errors.
The throttle never did snap back to the no power position, so I figure the springs didn't have enough tension.
They're tensioned now. Maybe too much tension? Do all the butterfly shaft return springs need the same winding, a full revolution?
Reinstalling butterflies has been interesting... I've been able to see absolutely zero light around 2 of them, but cannot seem to achieve the same with the 3rd. Haven't gotten to the 4th yet, which is actually the #1 carb.
So then I'm thinking I may have put some of those non-interchangeable parts with the wrong carb :(
Im in this for the long haul. All screws, jets, and bolts are in decent shape. I got my new rubber kit and chemicals kit from Len and keep plugging away.
Lastly, I thought I took way too many photos...but actually should have taken more, and should have been more studious in my notes.
This bike is an '82 XJ650RJ Seca, HSC32 Hitachi Carbs. It's my son-in-law's bike. I want him to be SO happy when it's ready.
Any and all input is greatly appreciated.
