    Hi forum

Im new to this forum, because I just bought a 1984 Xj 750 Seca 11m.
Its in okay shape, but I need some parts, what I need the most is the collector for the exhaust. Can anyone suggest some sites to buy parts online

    Thanks

There is a guy on this site called Chacal. He runs XJ4ever which you can find on the fourm at http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewforum/f=23.html.

He is the best place to buy parts for these bikes in my experience - best prices, best selection (I swear he has everything) and he has extensive knowledge of the bikes.

I know it seems really weird buying stuff from a company that has its catalog on a fourm but xj4ever really is the best place for your parts (you can read pages and pages of testimonials on this fourm).

Other then xj4ever you can try bikebandit, old bike barn or your local yamaha dealership (should probably be a last resort!).

BTW your not from windsor NS are you? (I think my friend has a cousen in windsor with a maxim named tronn)

For most parts see Chacal. PM him on this site - you can see his "catalog" under supporting vendors.

I'm not sure he will have the collector - best 2 sources are to post in the for sale/wanted section and look on ebay.

Thank you all for your answers.

No thats not me, Im a norwegian, living in Norway. The name Tronn is a common norwegian name, it can be writen in two different ways, Trond or Tronn, Trond is the most common way to write it. So im supprised when you tell me there is someone outside norway with the same name as mine. Windsor whre is that ?, first thing I think is UK, Windsor castle...

    Tronn

I found Bike Bandit interresting, but I don't know what model to choose  I can't find my model 11m, only some non familiar models. My bike is a 1984 model, bike bandit said that Yamaha did not produce xj 750 seca in 84. 8O All I know is what is in the registraion card, of course could be 83 registrated in 84. And what is a VIN# ? Here in norway we use frame number, and mine starts with 11m

VIN # is Vehicle Identification number - same as frame #. Some models were not sold in the US that could be the difference. In the US we use a 17 digit vin while the frame is 8 I think. Do you have a paper label on the neck? It may have the longer number and you can determine year from it.

I'm in the business and I buy all my XJ parts from Chacal for 2 reasons:

1 - His prices are the best
2 - He usually has it in stock instead of waiting for an on line seller who takes two weeks to pull it through the supply chain.

It is not because he has a stellar web site
