I know it's a trivial piece, but I lost the the plastic trim piece that says Yamaha on it that is directly below the ignition key on my '81 XJ750. I was checking the fluid in the master cylinder and must not have put in back in good. Anyway, went for a ride and when I got back realized it was gone.

If anyone has an extra one they would like to part with, please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Phil

Here is a thread about a guy who offered to make replacements, however I sent him a PM the other day and haven't heard back yet - I'll try e-mail soon. http://www.xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=3862/

I also saw a site that had them, used, for about $10+shipping (I thought it was partsnmore.com but I can't seem to find them there now).

I just lost mine on Monday or Tuesday - such a silly, simple piece, but without it, the bike really looks like a rat ;)
