So this bike is running quite well for me, carbs synced up definetly made a difference.

Clicking however is getting worse- guessing still that I will fix that with a handy valve adjustment... just have to get that done :) (is it okay that I am running it for the summer? perhaps another 1-2k miles before I adjust them?)

As far as parts go- It would seem that many things on this bike are still OEM stock ... original stuff from when (i am guessing) it was built... Now i have nothing against OEM but I was curious about getting new parts...starting with a fuel filter.

I found this with a quick google:

    http://www.bikebandit.com/1995-yamaha-seca-ii-fuel-filters-universal/c/a676374?mg=40939&t=1&s=7#productlist

what other small things (less than $50) are worth while fixes for one of these bikes...

It does seem to have a bit of throttle hesitance- if I opened from 0 to 75% really quickly it kind of bogs out for a split second before zipping away... is that normal?

Also ive noticed a clunky almost knock (hate that word lol) when revving the engine gently below 2500 rpm- its not consistent, usually happens just once or twice... seems to come from the engine, happens in neutral OR in gear (with clutch in) - has also happened when pulling away slowly (low rpm + a little throttle)..

Is that really bad news? It sounds/feels awful - some people say its the chain... or loose sproket... bearings... poorly atomized fuel etc etc-

    What to do?! :(

Don't spend BIG Money for a Fuel Filter.
A FRAM Universal Inline Filter is $2.99

Look at how far the Chain has been adjusted.
Look at the Sprockets for obvious signs of wear.

    Check the Brakes.

Then, remove the Spark Plugs and line them up 1-2-3-4
    Photograph the Sparking ends.

Let us see what they look like for analysis.

Sounds good i will do just that... getting new phone today with a decent camera so that will work out really well, ill see about getting the pics up asap.

Also- the chain has a little slack, perhaps an 1-1.5" - I did not think that was out of reason (although I probably should check the book and will do so when I get home.)

Brakes are good and so is the rear sprocket- Is there any good way to see the front sprocket?

Also oil is full and no leaks... exhaust isn't smokey. I do get a gas fumes smell occasionally for no apparent reason but I think that is just cause my nose is right over the tank.

The clicking is consistent at all rpms- harder to hear at higher rpms because it gets muffled by the exhaust sound but still there.

Also the engine has this running sound that reminds me a lot of the air being sucked through a air filter in a car- constant werrring sort of sound- yet its almost mechanical sounding :/

Hope that helps I will get pics as soon as possible.

    THANKS!
