CA Drivers Test Q. Bike inspection?

    Hey guys,

    I'd like to go ahead and take my drivers test...I've practiced several times doing the course and can do it quite well...

    My question is, do they do a bike inspection? My signal lights wont flash until my engine hits like 3k rpm so I'm worried they'll fail me upon inspection. Anybody know?

    They don't -- at least, the handbook makes no mention of it. Neither do I remember them doing one with mine when I first got my endorsement. Mind you, this was 20 years ago, but all I can remember them doing was asking about the shift pattern.

    I recall them checking that the bike was safe to ride on the range I tested on in San Diego. Brakes, flashers, lights. No problem. Have you checked your alternator brushes? Are your bulbs the right wattages? You might also just swap out your flasher relay for an electronic unit, cheap and easy and doesn't need heaps of current to work! Best of luck to you bud!
