Calling all Chicagoland Area XJ Riders

    The two threads on here for starved rock and chicago have gauged interest in getting a ride together. I've received a few pm's from some folks interested in a ride as well so I figured I would take the initiative and set something up. Here's what I propose:

    Date 8/16

    Time 10:00 AM

    Place Dunkin Donuts

    7516 S Cass Ave # 5B
    Darien, IL 60561

    I would think that would be a pretty good central location being that there was people expressing interest from the City, Starved Rock area and any other surrounding suburb. Also we have easy access to most highways from there depending on where we would like to ride to.

    I would like allow for an hour or so for a meet and great, coffee, give the stragglers time to arrive and of-course check out all the xj's attending.

    This is open to anyone and everyone that has a bike or is a passenger on one. My gf and I will be there as well as a couple buddies of mine who ride BMW's and Honda's.

    Feel free to throw in suggestions on where you would like to ride how long of a ride you would like to make it. Other than that I hope everyone's bikes are running and people are ready to hit the road with some fellow xj owners.

    I'm interested. Not a lot of other feedback coming in from other Chicago/NE Illinois peeps. If these is some other ride you're interested in speak up. This one is just a start.

    Don't know if I'll be able to go on a long ride that day, but I should at least be able to meet up with you guys if you do it on the 16th...

    Looking over my schedule I would also prefer the 16th. I've spoken with a couple buddies and they've also confirmed they will be there.

    I've officially set time/date/location so if you can make it please do. Also the ride can be as long as you want it to be. You don't have to be there the whole day.

    I've just realized that I'm going to have to bow out of this one. I forgot that I'm doing the F.A.S.T. run with my dad that day, and it starts at 8am. :(

    This sounds awesome. If my bike is running, I'll be there. That said, this recent oil-burning problem has to be dealt with beforehand. So... I can't commit but am definitely interested in any future rides.

    This is pretty tight. I don't think I'll make it this time since I'm still waiting on some parts and I don't think it will be ready by Sunday. HOWEVER, I'm in on the next one for sure, me and my brother who also rides his own!
