Hi guys I hope someone can point me in the right direction, I have an xj750rl which I am told is quite a rare model mainly seen in Canada and Australia, I bought the bike in bits and have now put it back together, but it was making a funny wheezing noise so I decided to whip the head off and fit a new head gasket and at the same time do the cam shims. the only problem now is I didn't mark the cams well enough and cant get the cam timing right I have a Haynes manual for xj900 which is basically the same bike but that is not really helping me. perhaps if I knew the cam timing figures I could devise a way of fitting a timing wheel and measure when valves are opening and closing. any help would be good. cheers Dave.
