On removing the valve cover from my XJ750J, the female threaded part of two camshaft "keepers" or "retainers" into which two of the center bolts screw, fractured.

I see a lot of camshafts for sale on ebay so the "keepers" had to be removed and I need two of them; anybody have these?

    Be careful.

On each camshaft, one of those cam caps is a bearing cap; one of them is a "dummy" that's only there for the cover to bolt to.

If you have a BEARING cap broken, you'll need to double-check the bearing clearance with Plasti-gauge before fitting the replacement. The procedure is covered in the service manual.

If they're both "dummies" then never mind.
