camshaft shear

    I somehow had my intake camshaft shear in half while rebuilding the engine. Might have been faulty, don't know. question is im looking for a new one but if i can have this one precision welded back together it would save time. So for those of you out there more knowledgeable than I, is it possible, what are the risks, and what do you recommend.
