can I use a stick

    Can i stick weld on my bike frame since it is a very strong weld

    Mig weld is much neater and just as strong. Tig is even better.

    The tube used in bike frames is not that thick. Getting a stick weld just right is very hard on such material and can actually weaken the frame considerably if not done right.

    What are you trying to weld?

    Yes you can, but I ditto what Hired_Goon has said. You also need to make sure you have sufficient amperage (don't take my word for it, but I think it is somewhere around 200Amps for a bike frame).

    well this would be on my frame....but my stick welder is huge...its a lincoln eagle.....it's got big amperage.....but yeah.....Im not to fond of tig....but that's why I ask you guys

    Yes lol, I was mistaken, its about 100-125Amps.

    Don't know where are I got 200amps from 8O (think is was cause I was looking at getting a 200 amp welder)
