Does anyone have any answers about running your XJ on unleaded 95?
Do I need to add a fuel additive to it?
Will it be better to run the bike on unleaded 98?
Can anyone answer me these questions?

    95 is good without additives.

I ran High-test all summer long. Even when it was over 4-Bucks.

The condition of your engine and the way your Carbs are tuned will let you know what Fuel to select.

I have a Stock 750. I added an Oil Cooler. I run the Bike a little-bit on the Lean side for extra power in acceleration and heavy engine braking.

If I run Regular Gas, I can hear some Pre-ignition happening; especially if I throw the power on in 3rd gear at low rpm's.
I don't ever hear it using Premium or after "Blending-in" some Premium with the Regular. (50-50)

I have heard more than a few guys boast about running some very-high octane gas -- (AvGas) -- which must be 100 [I'd guess] for racing-around on the weekend and trying to get a speeding ticket.

av gas yields less power than "on the ground" gas. it is engineered to be light, not make power. the high octane av fuel doesnt get you any power.

stick with the lowest possible octane rating, your engine will be the happiest.

with the 10% ethanol mixed with the fuel at the pump, i have had no trouble with 89 octane in my 750, running lean.
