My carb bowls will not fill on my '82 seca 650. i am getting fuel all the way down to the carbs but the bowls will not fill with the petcock on prime. Could this be some kind of vapor lock? Any help would be great.

Sounds more like blockage....have you opened your bowl drain screws to verify there is no fuel in them ????

    -Float needles are stuck shut

-fuel rail is clogged, often at the "T"

-tank vent in the cap is plugged creating a vacuum
    That keeps fuel from flowing

Check those and let us know what you find

I would look for some blockage in the fuel line or filter, if you have one, since it would be unusual for all of the needle valves to be stuck. You might even blow through the fuel line to see if it is blocked. Just don't swallow the gas

Once when I was cleaning the carbs I was able to force gas through the carbs using a primer bulb off of an outboard motor fuel line. But if you have to force gas into the carbs then you probably do have problems with the floats and needles.

Have you had the carbs apart? It is very easy to re-fit the floats upside down.
