yeah I am going to Beaver Run tomorrow to watch my friends race in the YSR and NSR series. Opening day tomorrow.

That looks like a cool run. I'm originally from Bridgeport Oh, right across the river from Wheeling. If it wasn't 2 hrs there, I'd tag along. That's an extra 120 each way for me.. Have fune, I know those roads are a blast.

 

yep. looking like a 7 hour day for me and about 300-400 miles.

Anyone doing the clinic in Ohio this year? My carbs are good, but I was looking for an excuse to ride up to the lake and meet some fellow xj'ers. Or how about an XJ meet/ride?

I would probably ride up, and probably try and bring my buddy who has an XS400 if he is interested. Just need to know where and when.

well, I'm going to be at the zoo with my friend's baby on Saturday, so no go on the carb tune at your place Polock. Too bad, I am going on a long mother's day ride (400 miles) on Sunday. I synced the carbs this week and it is running well, so it should be fine anyway. I would like a second opinion one day though or at least another well-tuned XJ to see if mine is really running well.

Hence my interest in the Ohio Carb clinic actually happening.

I'm 50 mil East of Columbus. I only have a 2 car garage but I sit on 5 acres, plenty of room in the grass if the weather is good.

So you wouldn't be opposed to hosting this? I can head out early and help get things set up...perhaps buy some drinks and snacks if we can get a head count.

I'm interested, but am very busy with my wedding coming up in October. If we say perhaps the weekend of Sept 15th, 29th, or Oct. 13th I will probably be able to be there.

I'd love to come, booked the 15th though. I know there are at least 6 or 7 xj'er's on here from columbus. I have a couple friends that would tag along on non-xj's. 5 acres? Mind if we pitch tents and drink beers?

 

Of course we can drink beer and pitch tents, that’s why I moved out here. We can have a bonfire also.
I have some great country roads around here to test ride the bikes after the tuning.
BTW is a carb expert coming? Because that’s not me! I do have a set of vacuum gauges and some basic mechanics tools. The homemade YICS tool I made needs some work, the tubing is not quite the right size. What all do we need?
