Hi guys I'm in the process of building a bobber out of my xj550. When I started to try to get her to run I decided I needed to clean the carbs. Upon removal of the bowl I find that someone has been in there before me and left me a little surprise. Anyway to the point. Apparently they lost one of the float pins and replaced it with a piece of mechanics wire. So my question is can I find one out of a spare carb as long as it's the same length and diameter. Sorry for such a long post and I hope I explained it good enough to understand. Thanks in advance.

We do have them available new (Mikuni float pins, not paper clips).

A pin out of any same-make carb will work.

Will this pin work? I haven't found one for an xj550 yet. I've found floats with pins for xj600s-750s. I'm gonna try a local bike shop before I go and order one off the internet. But will one out of other model and size xj series bike work? Thanks for your help guys. I hope the link works.
