Carb Hats

    I've got an xj700 Maxim NC. I've repainted the bike and done other things to it to make it look better than when I got it. I'll try to put a picture of it on here. The thing that is really bothering me about it is that the carb hats are so dirty and I can't get them clean. I can't find any anywhere except every now and then on e-bay I see some off other maxims. Does anybody know where I can get some nice shiny carb hats for my xj700nc?

    I have to agree with wiz. Chrome those suckers. Or paint 'em to match the rest of the bike.

    Mack, I carry complete sets of those hats, brand new, nice shiny chrome. Be aware that the 700 carbs used chrome plated hats on the outer two carbs only, and unpolished dull zinc-plated hats on the center two carbs.
    We even have the Midnight Maxim "golden-chrome" plated hats available.

    Of course, all of the Hitachi hats are physically the same, and will interchange with each other, so if you want to use chrome hats on all four positions, that will work just fine.
