Ok let me know if I am correct. The pic I have her is a pic of the pilot screw hole and it is factory set??
So if I removed it like I did (not vary smart) how do I reset it?? I was reading on here and I think I had the right thread and it said to turn them it all the way in and back the screws off 2 and a half turns. Does that sound correct? Any help would be appreciated want to get this carb back together this weekend. Oh one more thing when I set the floats do I fixture the carbs up upside down?? (With the float side up) thanks again.

Pilot screws can be set at 2.5 turns out to start with. Make sure the o-ring washer and spring are in place and in the right order.

As far as float levels are concerned. Set to 17mm dry and rig something up to do a wet check. Use the clear tube method to insure proper float level. Also bench sync before putting back on the bike. and do a real sync when you get it running. Do did check your valve clearences? Because those will need to be done before any sync can happen.

    Good luck

    Thanks,

On the floats I set the height with the float side up right and then reinstall the bowls and set up a gig to check the level with the clear tube. No I have not checked the valve clearence yet but will before i do a final tune. I also have to reinstall a stock air box that the PO removed to put on pod K&M air filters. Sounds like i have to remove the engine to put the air box back in. fun fun.
