carb question

    so i was cleaning the carbs and went to take off float needle and ratchet slipped and i busted the float mount and seen some carb bodies on ebay and was wondering if a carb body from an 81 xj650 seca would work on an 82 xj750 maxim

    The carb body should work from a 750, make sure that you use the right needle and jets. Also make sure that it is the same carb body position. If you go into breaking a rack might as well replace fuel shaft seals.

    i used marine jb weld to fix mine. worked awesome.
