I recently purchased rebuild kits for an xj650 maxim carbs on ebay. They were sold by a vendor called
2 fast moto and the sets were labeled alphamoto out of Las Vegas, Nevada. The kits contain everything one could want for a carb rebuild from gaskets to float needles and seats, mixture screws, bowl drain screws,
acelerator needle and tube , new main jet (110) and pilot jet(40) and all new springs. I paid somthing like 40
bucks for all 4 kits. Has anyone used these ? What was your experience ?

The parts in each kit were brass except for the washers and springs. the main jet(110)pilot jet(40)
Each kit was marked ; Alphamoto 4x carburators xj650. The tag on the mailer said ; Sarah Xu Thealphamoto
Las vegas, NV. the vendor on ebay was 2fastmoto. Other than that there was no indication of manufacturer or location.
I lurk on ebay quite a lot in my scrounging for used parts and I see this vendor alot selling lights, mirrors, seat covers and other
accessories fitting xj650s. I thought that since other members probably search for parts in the same places as me
that somebody from this forum has run accross 2fastmoto/Sarah Xu and had an experience with her
    carb parts.

Did they come with butterfly seals? If not contact Chacal at xj4ever .....if your going to do a true rebuild ( Church of Clean) then you need to buy these seals . To replace you have to "break the rack" and remove the butterfly plates and shafts .

Yeah I intended to get shaft seals and fuel tube "0" rings from chacal when I start that carb at the end of February.
I see 2fast moto alot when I look for parts on ebay or Amazon I surprised that more folks haven't encountered this vendor.
Sill looking for comments on the carb sets they sell.

Most on here get their kits from xj4ever , and K&L is another kit, I have seen the kits from Europe on eBay but have no first hand knowledge of quality .

It could be that they are being manufactured in small batches in th U.S., or under contract in some other county. I've never heard of, or used that brand or vendor.
Not all aftermarket parts are built to the correct specification (see the reproduction intake boots (I hope they solve that problem), and decades of pattern parts for British motorcycles).
I think the thing to do is use them, and report back as to how well they work (both initially, and over time). It might be worthwhile to take some measurements so you can compare them to the OEM parts from Hitachi (if you have the necessary tools).
