Getting ready to rebuild my carbs soon. got the parts from Chacal (quickly too!)

Valve clearances have been adjusted, and I plan on making the sync tool and the yics tool.

Reading through the forums has definitely been a HUGE help. One thing I noticed is that there seems to be a bit of a challenge in keeping the engine running while syncing the carbs. I gather that it is because the vacuum lines need to be swapped as the tool is moved from one carb to the next. Which leads me to my question - Has anyone tried using a few gang valves (similar to use in an aquarium http://www.aquaticeco.com/subcategories ... ang-Valves) to make this easier? They're only a few bucks and it seems like it might help, but I say that with never actually having done the sync procedure.

    Huh, thats an interesting thought.
You can do that i would assume, or make a Four bottle Sync tool and do all of em at the same time.
I'm trying to figure out how to make the YICS tool currently

Should work - but in reality the swap is not hard and if you are going to be a while getting the sync right you need to stop and pull the YICS tool and let it cool. Too long and things start to melt - even with good materials. If your just fine tuning your sync (lie an annual ck) you can probably go a lot faster.

Just another reminder to all as we approach another spring tune season - FANS - don't run you air cool bike while tuning without fans running to keep it cool.
