Taking advice from several members, I purchased a vacuum/pressure gauge from Advance Discount Auto today and then went to Lowe's. I got some clear vinyl tubing of the correct diameter and a small brass needle valve. Hooked the hose up to the valve and then to the gauge. I just tried it really quick this afternoon on #4 carb. Hooked up the rig and started the engine. Cracking the needle valve produces a stable, non-pulsating reading. Cracking it a little more makes the gauge jump like crazy. So, I can meter the thing. I figured I'd try this way instead of making the restrictor fitting out of the red spray tube from a spray can as previously suggested. Too beat to try a full synch today -- spent the day shuttling the in-laws around to Doctor's appointments and after a busy FD shift -- but tomorrow I am gonna do a full synch using the rig and the YICS tool from Chacal. I'll post my results and hopefully a few pics if I can manage them. My third hand is on vacation at the present time. ;)
