Anyone in New England good with XJ (turbo) carb rebuilds/sync/tuning? Possibly the valve adjustments? My first time doing both...Looking for either someone I could pay to do it, or come drink beer and help LOL

    Take the plastics off.

Read these; the Turbo is no different than any other aircooled XJ as far as valve adjustment goes. I did my best to clarify and simplify the process, the books make it seem so complicated.

Valve adjustment: http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=14827.html same as your bike once you get the covers off.

    and Part Deux: http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=29209.html

In regard to carbs. Your bike has special "pressurizable" Mikunis, they are very similar to the BS28s on the 550s, except that they have o-ring type gaskets and some other internal differences. But they're basically very similar to this inside: http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=31061.html
