Bike was having electrical problems. Sorted that all out, but also threw in some Seafoam to see if it would clean up the carbs. Trying two solutions at once isn't such a good idea... checked the plugs and 3 and 4 weren't igniting at all. Just confuses the issue as then I wasn't sure if it was electrical or fuel.

Pulled the carbs and started cleaning them up. The SeaFoam seems to have dislodged something red and chunky (rust?) from elsewhere in the system and deposited it on the tiny little screens for the float needle seat. And yeah, I did put in an inline filter before throwing in the SeaFoam. Not sure where that crap was hiding. Number 4 was almost completely clogged! Cleaned up, new gaskets, put 'em back on the bike.

I know I should have checked the float level before starting it, but I just wanted to know if it'd work... little starter fluid the first time to get things flowing, and it fires right up! Even works with no choke after it
warms up. Shut it down, pulled the plugs (carbs need a little tuning), then started it right back up again.

I really, really needed to hear the bike working. Sounds so much better than before even before tuning. So this weekend, it's float levels, setting those idle screws and idle.

Thanks for all the earlier help people. I'll be scouring the forums for tuning tips this weekend.
