carbs running issues

    hi can i put xj600 carbs on 1981 xj750 as the two sets of xj750 carbs i have i have being having alot of problems with them and cant make one set out of the two plus my local yamaha dealer can not get some parts due to being discontinued put the xj600s on bike sounds ok but will need to take it for a spin

    What year XJ600?

    They made XJ down draft carbs, in the 90s
    and regular 600 carbs for a 600 Radian and an FJ600 in the 80s (which is actually a XJ550 engine)
    I think the spacing between them won't allow them to fit the bigger 650/750 cylinder head.

    dont know the year as bike came from scrap yard but i do have them on and running have not yet took for a drive all i know they have different throttle and choke mechanisim will have to modify and they run on smaller jet sizes than xj750 thanks for quick reply
