I just received several rebuild kits and everything is rather self-explanatory except for one small black o-ring and one small silver button. Please advise...I'd like to get back on the road ASAP. Thanks.

Sometimes the kits have parts you don't need, the 'silver button' is a blanking cap for the pilot mixture screws, the 'O' rings (could) be for the float needle seats..

I had those extra parts in the kits I bought too (dirt cheap from ebay). I think the 0-rings were intended for the air-fuel mixture port but the ones I got in the kit were too big & I had to order the right ones from chacal.

I'm thinking the o-rings were also for the mixture screws. As for the metal plugs, I rather like RickCoMatic's explanation. :)
