Depending on the size of the holes you may be able to repair them. If you go to a hardware store, walmart or a auto parts store you should be able to find "liquid" tape. The stuff works great!

The slides from any xj550 maxim or seca should work. As for other bikes with the same slides, here you go:
    XC180K - 1983
    RIVA 180Z - XC180ZLC - 1984
    RIVA 180Z - XC180ZL - 1984
    RIVA 180 - XC180ZNC - 1985
    RIVA 180 - XC180ZN - 1985
    RIVA 180 - XC180NC - 1985
    RIVA 180 - XC180N - 1985
    RIVA 180 - XC180DNC - 1985
    RIVA 180 - XC180DN - 1985

You have to be well organized for this.

    Buy a Small Funnel
Cut the "Neck" off ... Clean & Neat.
Further cut the Neck Area so that the OUTSIDE Diameter of the Diaphragm Piston will pass through the Hole -- TIGHT FIT.

For this FIX you need that Jig to be a PRECISION Cut.

    Diaphragm Rubber Repair:

Clean the Rubber with isopropyl alcohol.
Apply MASKING TAPE to the OPPOSITE SIDE of the Repair.
(Holding the tear together > Perfectly.
Cut a small Funnel to act as a form. <---< NEEDED!
Tape the Rubber down on the Form.
Make sure Rubber is not buckled or wrinkled.

    Salvage some "Repair Material"
(I used a small section of Material cut from a Nylon Windbreaker)

Cut-out a PATCH of Repair Material to COVER the TEAR.
    Sharp scissors.
Coat the Rubber Diaphragm over the TEAR with a thin coat of LIQUID Electrical Tape.

PRACTICE THIS MOVE BEFORE YOU DO THE REPAIR. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO WORK VERY QUICKLY AS THE LIQUID TAPE CURES LIGHTNING FAST.

    >> Quickly apply the Patch with TWEEZERS and "Iron-Out" any Air Bubble or wrinkle with a BIC Ball Point Pen (Cover and Blunt End)
    Smooth-out Patch.
You don't get much time to do this.

    Once Dry:
Apply 2nd Coat of Liquid Electrical Tape.
When 1st side is dry ... repeat process on other side of Rubber ...
    BUT
Don't Stick Tape on the Repair ... Just Smooth the Diaphragm Rubber Out.

no they will not work. Only carbs other than stock 550 carbs would be seca 550 carbs.

Be careful. All Mikuni BS28's are NOT exactly alike.

I'm not sure what the specs were on the "world market" XJ550s; the USA bikes (Seca and Maxim) had different pilot jets and needles from each other, probably because the Seca had hotter cams.

I would suspect your bike is probably the same as a 550 Seca, but I would do some research first.

PM me with an email address and I'll scan you all the "carb spec" stuff I have on the 550s.
