I have been wondering for sometime now but never thought to ask.....

Does Chacal run a parts only warehouse or does he have a service shop as well in the Atlanta area....where one can take their bike to have service performed by him or his staff......

If he does, lucky for those that live around the Atlanta area....or there might be others who bike a long distance to have service done I bet .....lol

I know he does an awesome job providing parts to service our XJs. It is a little scary/creepy the amount of information you can find online.

 

I'm very pleased with hits service.
The guys must have been a teacher in another life... cause not only does he give you all the information you need to select the right stuff you need (Even when you didn't know yet you were going to need it) but he has the a fore mentioned patience not to flip out when you ask him questions which he had already answered in previous messages... lol.

 

I can attest to Chacals patience and willingness to help! I messaged him quit a lot with random questions about my bike. He answered my questions and then some! I placed an order with Chacal and he was vwry thorough and helpful. My parts just arrived today!

Anyone looking to do business with Chacal I highly recommend him. I plan on utilizing him for all of my bike needs!

The question was: Does he have a Service Shop ?? or Parts Only Business ??

 

I've never heard of him having a service shop, so I assume parts only, but he or one of the Wiz's will chime in if I'm wrong.

 

My guess is that he runs a "Parts Only" enterprise, and an excellent one at that.

Always good for advise, and providing answers to questions that we forgot to ask.

 

Anyone ever notice how Len stays strangely quiet on these kinda threads? I do know that he carries only XJ parts, any parts that cross list XS, FJ parts etc... he has been made aware of by other people.... I asked him directly on that....

I am about positive he is a parts only. If he had a service shop i am sure he would be advertising on here.
In my book he is an excellent parts guy. I did car parts back in the early 80s and was very good at it as well. When your a good parts guy like he is you learn to listen and try to help people and when you know your parts what they do from experience with them. You will have a following if you help someone out like he does the person you helped out will remember. You have all these discount motorcycle mail order places that you hear people raving on here about but they are not the same they do not care if a part works once they sell it your just a number. I would rather deal with someone i can trust that remembers things that he sold you. Its like dealing with an old friend i would rather pay a few penny's more to deal with the knowledge he has. He reminds me of a good hometown parts store when you walk in he knows who you are and will try and help vs the chain parts stores where if its not in the book they can't help you

 

From one of his responses to me, it appears that he is or was associated with a repair shop. But for all I know, he may be a she, but it really doesn't matter anyway, because he is the source for parts, spec's, etc.

 

Absolutely, hands down, he is the go to guy for our XJ parts. Without him, a lot of us would fail at restoration & resurrection of these timeless machines.
He can't be beat.... His prompt responses, free advice, availibility of the right part & delivery to your door is tops.

He has a great business model with low overhead.....

His prices may be a little higher, but look at all extras you get with it.....

One just does not get the service after the sale from other lower priced shops.

I feel this sums it up best.

Sure, some parts are cheaper elsewhere, but when it comes to service and him making sure you know everything that you need to going into a project, he cannot be beat.
