It might help for the catalog Link to be highlighted in red, so it grabs folks attention?

I've also seen it load only part of the page. Refresh it a time or two, and it should come up.

Loads faster for me with Google's Chrome web browser. Actually, everything does.

Would be nice to have a web page that you could sort by bike and section. But there's a ton of information in Chacal's web catalog.

save the pages of the catalog as a file, then it's faster, portable too

Has anyone ever considered putting together a catalog? With photos and such? Maybe a bookmarked PDF w/ weblinks and all? I realize it probably isn't a viable option for xj4ever as a business, but w/ cooperation on the forum here, surely we could put something together...

Or maybe, it is an exercise in futility, if you can just PM him... just thinking out loud...

I had made up a PDF catalog sometime last year, I think it was. I offered to keep it updated, but he made it abundantly clear to me that wasn't what he wanted done right now. He's got other things in the pipeline that I'm helping him with.

The prices are way out of date, and he has much more inventory now than is listed, but if you want to see what the file looks like, it's here.

Other things in the "pipeline"... this sounds suspiciously like... a WEBSITE...

    That would rock.

The prices are way outdated? Like, in which direction? Or dare I ask?

Unfortunately..........the prices will be going up pretty soon.......long overdue.......some items I'm selling at about cost......which also means that some prices will be going up pretty significantly (think 20-30% significant).

Sorry to be the bearer of this bad news, but most pricing is totally out of my control.

ya, but having access to parts is half the battle. Personally i'd pay a few dollars more to know it'll be here in a couple days than spend a week or more trying to even find it the part still exists.

I'll second that emotion :D The accessability to point & click and in a few days receive quality new parts for our antique mind You motorcycles is priceless. Out of all my Yamahas Chacals XJ4ever is by far the most inclusive parts array I've ever had the pleasure to experience. In other words XJ4EVER ROCKS THE HOUSE!!!

Not from my end, I'm afraid. I'm a hardware geek, not a software geek.

Without being too specific, what he's got me doing is more in the line of product/technical documentation... and the digital camera is getting a workout. :)

this reminded me to ask - chacal, do you carry lines of parts for other machines too?

    -or-

does anyone know of any other parts "wizards" that specialize in other machines?

it would be nice to have a compiled list of places to look for parts. would be extremely handy for those of us on the forum that dabble in "other" bikes.

if memory serves, there is a guy named jack that specializes in honda rebel 250's and 450's - i'm pretty sure he's in florida. i can look up info and post if folks are interested.
