I’m curious if I could swap the top tree off a 86 xj700x onto my 82 xj750. I want to eliminate the square bars that came original because I think they are too bulky looking.if anyone knows of an easier way to do this please let me know

The mountss for the square bars bolt on to the top tree. You'll see the nuts on the bottom side.
All you need is a set of round bar clamps from a 750 Seca, any 650, or an aftermarket set that bolts on.
