Recently I had a bad experience with the online motorcycle website I do most of my ordering from.....their "one call resolution" moto leaves much to be desired. Just wondering if we took a poll if the results would reveal a consistent winner (of course I use Len for most XJ specific stuff).

    please chime in!

Almost exclusively Motorcycle Superstore for tires. I ordered a rear tire on a Friday afternoon while salmon fishing in the Columbia River. The tire was on my door step on Monday morning.

You can call an 800 number and talk to a really nice person to place an order, get status, or find out additional information about an item. Amazing service and the prices can't be beat. If you want the service they will send you a daily message with closeouts, special deals etc. It's kind of fun to see these specials.

For economical riding gear Jafrum.com and Leatherup.com do a good job.

Re: Chime in, Favorite online places to order motorcycle par

Here is a link to the people I have dealt with tru the years....scroll down a bit. Most of them have been for bikes other than my XJ but should apply and be of help for people that like to make things..........

    http://streetfightercafe.info/Links.html

XJ4ever................Len does a great job for the XJ community. OUTSTANDING to deal with....He really does make chasing spares for a bike that has been out of production for the better part of three decades a painless chore...Prices are fair and the man does not market junk!

Have dealt with many small shops and individuals in the UK,Europe & Oz for my GSXRs tru the years....Never had a bad deal yet....once again research the deal.

Various forums are a great way to locate spares & info

Last time I walked into a OEM motorcycle dealership was summer of 1990 to pick up my last new factory bike.......From then on have only dealt with small specialty shops or online when the net took off.....

Once again..............RESEARCH THE DEAL!!!!!!!!! ..............before ya do it of course

I use ebay for somethings. Most of the stuff I go to the "Old Guy" as I call him.
He runs a small Yamaha shop and is very good at deciphering the way I talk. Not to mention he has about 5 XJ 650s in his show room.

I pay a little extra over mail order but it's worth the expertise he offers.

At the moment I don't feel I know enough about this bike to buy things almost sight on unseen off the net.

XJ4ever for the XJ parts. Dennis Kirk, Bike Bandit and JC Whitney for everything else. Bike Bandit is not the fastest but their selection is great and their prices are OK.

And let's not forget about Morgan, for the colortune and Carbtune set up.
