Alrighty, I screwed up. I admin it. I overfilled the oil and it sprayed into the air box. How do I effectively clean the air filter?

By the book, you cannot salvage it. Oil contamination is a death-knell for the element.
But... there is a way. I have sprayed K&N filter cleaner on mine and let it soak for an hour or so then hosed it out. Rinse, repeat. Let dry. Then do it all over again twice. I've gotten my filters darn near spotless. A slight beige tinge will remain but it's cotton, waddaya gonna do eh? Bleach? This I have not tried but the thought has crossed my mind. Good luck and remember a replacement stock element is under $30 from Chacal.
