Clear Tube Method, Wet Test Measurements... please Help

Hi Guys,

I have my Carbs off and just measured the Float levels at 17.5 MM. I can't find a straight answer or picture(picture preferred) of where the fuel level should be on the clear tube test.

I need clarification on 2 things.

1. Where do I measure from on the outside of the Carb, (Do I measure from the botton of the Float Bowls??) And what is the precise measurement?

Have a look at this file and see if that helps any. It's got purty pictures and stuff.

First, bear in mind that the dry setting you mentioned may or may not get you where you need to be; it's a starting point.

Second, where the fuel level is supposed to be depends on your model and model year. The cheat sheet on the last page lists the recommended settings.

Lastly, you might want to go into your account settings and set up your profile to list your bike's year and model in the signature block -- I couldn't tell you what your suggested fuel level is, because I don't know which bike you have.
