Can a top end clicking noise be caused by the timing being off? Had to pull the head due to a screw getting sucked into piston. Put it back together. Runs but there is a clicking. Wondering if the timing might be off.

I'm not a mechanic but, I would say that could be a possibility. the valves hitting the piston. maybe oil not making it to the head. just my thoughts but, like i said im not a mechanic
