They can hit the tank, but I never do.

You will need to play with your clutch and throttle cables (the throttle cable can get sticky and bind, and the clutch will, no matter what, get MUCH harder to pull)

I'm running clubmans. I am running mine down and outward a little bit and it misses the tank by about 1/4".

yep. You don't need new cables if you're careful with the routing. But new ones would make it easier.

i'm just curious how you would go about using the stock cables. would you have to loop them or something? a few coils behind the headlight.?

I run clubmans on my xs650 with the stock cables....the clutch cable you have to play with and try a couple different routes for a nice smooth pull.....as for the brake line, i flipped the banjo fitting under the headlight and it made all the difference....same set up on the xj

im using stock cables on clubmans, no problems here, just reroute it to make them work, no big deal.

As few turns in the cable as possible. I run the clutch down the right side of the frame.

As long as you don't kink it, you should be fine.

can someone post pictures of their cable routing with clubmans?
it just seems like a lot of extra cable leftover going from those huge stock bars.

    :/

im buying new cables anyway. I could reroute the when i mount the clubmans but id rather have the security of knowing my cables are new. But first i have to find mounts for the bars.. :/ anyone know where i can find them?
