Well, today I decided to put on a new aftermarket horn set as the factory ones hardly worked anymore. I got them placed and wired, and all worked fine. Since I had the fuel tank off, I decided to clean up my electrical connectors underneath with some aerosol connector cleaner (they sure seemed to need the cleaning too!) Well, I let everything dry up and re-connected the wiring...then the problems. Now, when I turn the key to on, I have no horn, no neutral light (positive I'm in neutral), no display on the atari, and no turn signals. On the cluster I have my guage lights and the hi-beam light stays on now too (not on hi-beam though). Engine starts and runs fine, inspected wiring and cannot see anything obvious. Also, it is now blowing the main 30amp fuse as well as the signal fuse. Any Ideas? Thank You!!

It sounds like you may have pulled something loose inside the spaghetti bowl/Rats nest. Make sure its all cleaned greased, and tight in there also.

Thank you for the reply, I went and checked it out and made sure the connectors were good and seated tight. Turns out the problem was the horns. When I tested them, I had yet to mount them to my bike...turns out they ground through the mounting stud. Shows what I know about wiring :(

You will find that anything electrical that is mounted directly to the frame on the bike will ground through the frame mount in some way. This causes more non working problems than any thing else
