CLUTCH COVER

    As I was polishing my clutch cover at lunch today, I noticed that the center section is removable. Why? It doesn't seem to serve a function other than for looks, but I could be wrong. Seems like a potential leak point, not to mention the extra manufacturing cost for Yamaha.

    There may be things under there that helped with the manufacturing process.

    Or, it might be decorative.
