This last week I took apart my clutch enought to replace the friction plates and the springs. The disks looked fine to me so I reused those. I put everything back together and changed the oil including the filter. Re-filled and adjusted the clutch cable to what it was before. It still needs a bit of adjustment, but it does shift through all of the gears.

The problem is since replacing the clutch parts the bike has started to make a higher pitched noise, but only when the clutch is engaged. When it is dis-engaged the noise immediatley goes away. I did soak the friction plates in oil for about 30 minutes before I put them in and believe that everything is back in place. It didn't make the noise before I replaced the parts.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated. The bike is an '81 Seca 750 with about 18000 miles.

    Thanks.
