Is this possible? to swap from the 2 coil packs to coil on plug ignition? I have 1jz toyota coils sitting around And I think i could make it work. Just wondering if it will mess with the bikes ignition? any help appreciated

The standard ignition unit will switch 2 coils at about 3 ohms primary each. This is a current of about 4-5 amps each.
The toyota coils will be about 1 ohm primary and draw too much current for the ignition unit.

The Toyota coils would probably require a reduced dwell (coil on time) as well.

I have been looking at changing my coils to a higher energy style, and it will never be a straight swap.
My current plans will be to use a programmable controller to replace the current ignition unit.
Not a simple solution, But I should have a running setup in a few months.
