    My Xj 1100 dropped a coil yesterday coming back from a trip.
    My ? is. i have a buddy who has an old Yamaha,i think it is an xj 550 or 650. Has the yics system on it. Will one of the coils from that bike work until i can get new one?

    According to Yamaha-motor.com they are the same coils.
