so was looking at getting the collector plates for my state, but not sure my bike qualifies

rules state.. 'any bike over 20 yrs old that is stock in appearance'

Interested to know who has collector plates and whether or not you are truly "STOCK" in appearance...

assuming bobbers and cafe`s need not apply, but what about just a bobtail fender and paint?

    thanks

I have collector plates and am stock.

Paint doesn't matter, and I doubt a fender would change it either.

Any chopping would put it at risk, so I'd doubt any cafe or bobber would qualify, but that wou/ld only come up if there's a safety inspection. Otherwise, who's going to know

No such rules for "personalized" plates...

Oooh, got some new pictures! ^

In Wisconsin you can get hobbyist plates for cafe's & bobbers, makes it easier to apply for a lost title as well.

Collector plates are chill but you can't personalize them.
