I have one cylinder that has the first few spark plug thread a bit stripped. The plug seals just fine but it probably works because the lower threads do all the gripping. I am wondering if a colortune will seal in that cylinder if the thread length is shorter than a stock spark plug. Anyone compare the two please?

The colortune is SIGNIFICANTLY SHORTER than the plug. Maybe 5 to 6 turns max

Agreed - have you tired cleaning the threads up with a plug thread chaser?

Thanks for the replies. I guess it is worth a shot to buy one and try cleaning up what I have.
