Colortune?

    Might be a long shot, but is there anyone out there in xj world that would be able to lend me a colortune plug?

    Yamabob,

    I noticed the crickets on this string since your inquiry on Saturday. The problem is that the things are so darn delicate. Chacal has a rental program, but it does not include the color tune for this very reason. I wish there was better news. I'd say your best bet would be if someone that is local to you (that has one) is willing to either come to you, or you go to them. This way the proper use and handling of the plug can be ensured.

    Wish there was better news on this one.

    turn the mixture screws for highest rpm, then 1/8 turn more, out.
    if you can tune a piano you can do this

    I have a limit of six strings as far as tuning instruments goes. I have it running fairly well, a little rich if anything, so at least there won't be any damage done. Maybe I'll save my pennies over the winter or write a letter to Santa Claus for a colortune plug. Riding season is pretty much wrapped up here, just waiting for the rain to change to a more solid form of moisture.
