What years and model of header will bolt up direct to an 82 Seca 750?

Trying to find exhaust systems in Canada, is like trying to find water in the desert...

    Thanx guys!

I think i've read that any year 650 or 750 would work, but maybe others?

I don't know about others, but 650s and 750s should be interchangeable. I'm no guru, but I do have a cheap set of Maxim 650 headers, if you want to weld your own collector and use a universal or custom-mounted muffler. Here's a pic:

Although the mufflers are rotting out, the headers are solid and straight. Let me know, and good luck in your search.

The 750 Seca used a "collector box" system similar to the one used on the 550s. All 3 years' 750 Secas (USA) were the same, '81-'83. If you're looking for a straight bolt-up.

I have the stock head system and collector box from a 750 Maxim on my 750 Seca (both are '82) Fits perfect with no modifications, just bolted right on.

Reason i'm asking, is i'm prolly going to have to go to the graveyard and look for something that will fit. So i figured i should know what years/cc's would be a bolt on.

My Supertrapp muffler is fine, just my headers rusted to pieces so if i can find a 4-1 header i'll be set.

I needed a clutch basket for my 550 and went to Zdeno Cycle in Kitchener. They had more 650s than 550s in the yard many with intact exhaust.

    SWEET!

I hadn't had a chance all week to go actually walk through, but Matt tried to call me today (I was at work) and of course I couldn't get 5 mins with him all day on the phone lol I guess he had the people lining up for his help today.

I'll have to take a drive up on Monday and take a looksee.

Zdeno's is usually my last alternative for somthing, I find them a bit pricey for stuff off the graveyard bikes.

4-1 Headers for 50 bux would make my year tho lol

I hear ya. I've dealt with Zdeno's exactly once, drove all the way from London about a part I needed, said they had one and told me the price. When I got there I was taken upstairs and was told "It's up here in back somewhere". :?
Have you ever been "up back in here somewhere"? 8O
I just looked at the guy, shook my head and went home.
Make sure they have the part on hand is all I'm saying or pack a lunch!

Would someone show me how the 4 into 1 setup works on an aftermarket maxim/seca 650? i have the haynes but the cover model is a 750. how far back do the tubes run before they turn towards the right foot side?

i want to make one. Or fix my crossover tube that a PO had cut and welded shut for the extra noise.

KrS14 gave Tom a call at N.C.K cycle (519) 268-2523 He is now in Woodstock. I got a new Mac 4 into 1 for half price that other dealers gave me. Tom well treat you right. He has exhaust gaskets in stock.

A big +1 for N.C.K. I've dealt with him a few times and he's always been decent to deal with. Pretty clean and organized too.
Where is he in Woodstock? Last time I was out at his place he was in Dodge (Dorchester).

Yep, I've dealt with Tom a bunch over the years, i'll be calling him tomorrow to order the MAC 4-1 (my only option)

Hopefully Parts Canada has stock and he can get it within the week.

Haven't seen the new location yet, looking forward to seeing it.

Re: Zdeno's, in the email I sent to them, I specifically stated I was looking for a 4-1. Matt tells me he's got something I could use.

Drive all the way there just so he can show me a 4-2..... I was like... DUUURRRRRR.....

They did have an igniter for my 400, last year, that saved my butt tho.

Maxim --> He's on Ingersoll road now, right across the road from The Power Garage I think. Or as I like to call it, "motorcycle row" lol

Hell i couldn't even find NEW headers lol, have to buy the whole MAC 4-1, it's the only thing i can find in Canada.

Of course, I could put my supertrapp on it and sell the MAC muffler and recoup some $$$

N.C.K. is at 125 Main street in Woodstock. He is a large gray/blue building look for his sign at the road.
