    I got a question for anyone who has ditched their wiring harness and just rewired the whole bike themselves. Do you have a diagram you used? Any advise? I'm rewiring my xj650 maxim right now and I have power going around, coils, ignitor, headlight, and starter motor. BUT... I have no spark. So I'm not sure if I did something wrong. But any words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated. I followed a video on YouTube the best I could. Just look up xj650 rewire and it should come up. Sorry I don't have the link.

    Search minimum wiring diagram on this site. There's 1 with a green background floating around. I used that as a basis for mine when I installed an munit.

    notice the tci to pickup coil hook up just use the existing tci plug harness from pickups

    green shows combined balck wite typical of 81 on and white diagram shows 4 wires typical of the 80 650

    On a 81 xj550h by passing the safety relays the orange and grey wires on the diagrams it shows them going to the ignitor but not which prong they should be wired to have no spark wiring harness disassembled also the ignitors metal backing plate when grounded blows the fuse is there a diagram showing how the ignitor show be wired
