After having such a good ride on the 550 going down to Tucson last week. I thought I'd give her a try in the mountains (2-up) again. So, I decided to go to Payson, AZ yesterday morning.

The 550 is great in the flat/semi-flat desert and foothills but once you get to a 6% grade, I had to keep her revved to about 8000 rpm to stay with traffic. The only issues thus far are a little bit of stumbling at 6500 rpm and a small oil leak in the bottom of the right fork tube, which makes me think that I didn't get the bolt torqued tight enough with my makeshift tool.

Here are some pictures after we made it over the first bunch of hills and are getting ready to head up the last steep sections of road.

(I've put 1500 miles on this bike since getting her back on the road, in February I guess, it's certainly been worth the effort!)

I thought the terrain looked familiar. I'm down in southern utah and it all looks kind of similar I guess.
