Working on unraveling a mystery.. bike has clearly been laid over.. it's missing the case cover plate and the case itself has been "doctored" at some point presumably post-dump..the VIN on motor doesn't match frame so I'm aware it'snot original.. question i have is due to the coloration of the top half vs bottom half.. how likely is this motor a Frankenstein's monster? Is there a way to know if the lower portion of the crankcase is original to the bike? 20260307_180412.jpg

The top case halves are painted - the bottoms are not. So the color variation doesn't mean too much. Could be a frankenmotor, but not necessarily.
