Aftermarket "ears" or brackets are easy to find for side mounted headlights. But has anyone done some bottom mount aftermarket headlights. I had enough IPA to not make me want to measure the holes on my bottom tree but was wondering if any of these are universal enough for some XJs?

ok never mind... no such holes on the bottom tree. I really should look before I post.

So anyone done a bottom mount headlight without too much custom fab work?

Well... how much messing around do you want to do? What I would do is go for the headlight I like and enough bolts and brackets from true value and you can design your own mount. I like the front cover mounted lights too... but for some reason the big, japanese bike stereotype headlight on my maxim grew on me.

yeah I got some angle brackets fangled up. Just not sure how sturdy they'll be when rolling down the road. The headlight mounted for now is just a half of a dominator style dual headlights for now.

I can't really settle my tastes. And the original biggie is growing on me again. Especially because it can hold so much wiring. I've been non-comital to chopping down the stock clips and connections to clean all that up.
